The Public has surprised their followers with their release of “REPENT,” a four song EP with flairs for the theatric, the easy-going and the pertinent. Described by the band as a “comedy gospel about powerful things in this world,” this short collection of songs is tight, bright and very clean sounding. The production comes from Aaron Fisher at Dining Room Collective. My first impression of this release showed me The Public at their tightest and most collected, with a strong focus on concise and evolving songwriting and performance.
