Ace of Spit reappears after over a year of silence with “Huffing Primer at the Colonial Genocide Officer’s Club,” a collection of demos recorded directly onto a Tascam 8 track, as well as an announcement of a new album due on Summer 2021. The tracks and instrumentation on this release are bare bones and off-putting mix-wise, but they set up a disjointed surf rock landscape that feels familiar and involved despite the DIY nature of a demo release. Perhaps this bizarre take on board bustin’ will be showing up in the announced full length.
