Currents of Eternal Energy is the first full-length album from Aura, current moniker of South City-based multi-instrumentalist and electronic artist, Austin Zink. Aura culls and hones to idiosyncratic perfection dark bits of sonic language from Zink’s previous synth-based projects like St. Louis dungeon duo Deux Plex and solo project, Flux. Released on the 2021 Autumn Equinox, Currents presents constant thresholds, formal shocks, ecstatic synths shifting over relentless mid-tempo grooves. Stay tuned for a full review of the album.
